James (Plain) did a great job of correcting my root colour which simply needed darkening up to remove the cooper/auburn tones it was throwing. I believe he used the same root colour as Tori had on my earlier appointments but for some reason this time it came out a bit different.

After fixing this the root colour looked brilliant and I left absolutely thrilled. James was very understanding (especially as I felt bad complaining!).

Outside of James’ colour application, the staff are lovely (including James) and its always a pleasure visiting the salon at Surry Hills.

I have been lucky enough to have two hairdressers work their magic on my hair - firstly, Hayden who is an absolute delight, such a lovely guy & very talented & now I have moved over to Steph who is brilliant. Really love the fact she's an all-rounder who can do my colour, chop my locks and finish off with a fabulous blow dry. I love Steph's positive vibes and her energy, she's also really great at what she does. I have just had a banger of a haircut which has made my wild afro manageable and it feels very 'current' and cool. As a redhead it is impossible to find hairdressers who know how to work with the various shades of red and, do the impossible, make it look natural - I feel like Steph hits it out of the park every time and she's always on point. So to answer your question - I love returning time and time again. And I am finally rocking up on time! Go me ... I have, on many occasions, fucked up your schedules by being late so hopefully I am not going to be blacklisted ha ha.

The girl who washed my hair was brilliant too. Sometimes it’s a bit of a hit and miss what kind of wash you get. The new chairs are amazing!

The lady who blow dried my hair was great. I have fine hair so she knew what to do and used the right products. She was friendly and smiley which makes a difference. She also listened what I was after.

All in all great experience as always!!

Even though it was only a haircut and finish, he still made me feel bright and beautiful when I left the salon with bouncy natural waves, and fresh, healthy hair. I have a widows peak at the front of my hairline which is sometimes difficult to highlight and have walked out of salons before without hairdressers catching it right. I can honestly say Joel did a fantastic job, probably the best set of highlights I have every had. It looks so natural and he gave great advice, treatments and haircut options. Charlie used a range of colour techniques from balayage, highlights, baby lights etc he was able to create a natural and beautiful look with my hair that I’ve always wanted to achieve that’s also low maintaince. It’s always one thing to walk out of the salon happy but can sometimes become a whole different story once you get home. My feelings toward my cut and style only improved and I will definitely ask for Maddie again :)
