Yoga Classes

Classes at Balwyn Yoga Centre are all inclusive. You do not have to provide any mats or equipment to do a class. For new students, the school provides a comprehensive 5 week course to learn the basic skills and moves required for a regular class. This course is provided in a small separate room in the school that allows for more personal assistance from a trained teacher to get you started. Each Class Runs for 90 Minutes (Including 15 Minutes Of Relaxation Exercise). We have classes to suit beginners, intermediate and advanced students, running concurrently in two rooms. Most suitable clothing - T-shirt / tracksuit pants / leggings / compression tights. We provide all yoga equipment - belts / bolsters / blocks / mats / etc. The classes have a wide range of ages - from 10 to over 90 and all are welcome. There is no compulsion to keep up with the class and you can rest should you feel fatigued. If you miss a class, please contact the school to arrange a 'catch-up' in another class within the five week period ('catch-up' class passes are available). An additional 'catch-up' class is held the first Saturday of each month at 8am.

Beginner students are taught in a separate room by a qualified teacher. We also offer a Chinese speaking teacher to cater for students where English is not their first language - please contact the school to learn more. A variety of poses and correct techniques are taught over a five week period. Beginners can start at any time, so please contact the school to organise a suitable day. You are welcome to continue in the beginner class until you are confident to advance to the regular class. Unfortunately we do not offer free single introduction classes at the yoga school.

Payment of five classes needs to be paid for in advance. You will be reminded during class the week before when payment is due. 5 x 90 minute classes within the five week period = $100.00 (inc GST) The five classes should be taken within a five consecutive week period. Pay for 10 classes and receive an additional class FREE. We only accept payment in cash as we do not have credit card facilities and we do not accept personal cheques Lessons are non transferable to other students. Unused lessons are non refundable and expire after the 5 week period. Gift vouchers for yoga classes are the perfect present and are available from the school.
