Cupping is an effective therapy as it creates a negative pressure (vacuum) inside the cup which draws up the skin and together with gliding techniques opens out and stretches constricted tissue fibre. The benefits of cupping include: increase in range of motion, increase nutrient rich blood supply to the treated area aiding in the body’s natural healing process, increase fluid movement thereby decreasing oedema and relaxes the muscles.
